A Word on Bronchitis

So we promised juicy insider celebrity gossip. But first, some valuable advice!

My lovely nutritionist sent me some info regarding how to take antibiotics and importantly, build up your immune system at the same time. Enjoy!

How to use Antibiotics:
If you have to use anti-biotics, then use them concurrently with pro-biotics (acidophilus) to get the best results without getting intestinal tract problems. If you take your antibiotic once a day, at breakfast, then take your pro-biotic at dinner or bed time. If your antibiotic is taken twice a day, at breakfast and at dinner, then take your pro-biotic at lunch and at bedtime. Try to have at least a 3 to 4 hour interval between taking the anti-biotic and the pro-biotic. That gives your body time to absorb the anti-biotic and get it into your blood stream. Then pro-biotic can safely alleviate the damage done to the gut bacterial population, without reducing the effectiveness of the anti-biotic. If your bowel habits change (softer, runny, you are gassy smelly, etc.), then you need to increase the amount of pro-biotic you are taking. If your antibiotic is taken more frequently then do the best you can. If your anti-biotic is given through IV then you can take your pro-biotic anytime.

The Beginning Continues…

I am not sure if I want to number us, Rebbi! We are both special in our own way. I believe the difference is that we both represent two different age groups as well as lifestyles. While I am a mom in my very early 30’s(!) Rebbi is in her 20’s, and still in party mode. Needless to say she shouldn’t have any obstacles reaching her goal of shedding her unwanted poundage. Hey, I am not trying to make any excuses, but I remember those days, when I ran everyday for a month and lost 15 pounds. This is not the case now, especially after giving birth to a 10 LB baby a few years ago. Thanks to my genetics, NO STRETCH MARKS! Thanks MOM! So I will not need any plastic surgery. At least I’d like to think so! I don’t think we are ordinary in any way. Both Rebbi and I are very creative and active in our community. We are both aspiring writers so this is one of our outlets. No more writing in the DARK! I have something to say, well, I have a lot to say. I just hope there are listeners out there who’d like to hear from two kooky fun girls who want to get fit and sexy and enjoy the process. Along the way we would love to hear your comments, questions, and suggestions.

Two girls and a bikini…The Beginning

Girl One here (or wait, am I girl Two? Anahita?). Either way, THIS
girl is quite unhappily ill with relapse and in bed. Waist: 29 ½,
last week weigh-in at 152 (come to think of it that's quite good,
lowest I've been in years, but who's counting?). I DID lose some
weight over Christmas, because, once again I was ILL and in bed,
missing all those glorious holiday parties. The joy of losing poundage
is lost (no pun necessary) when you realize you'd rather have champagne & cheese balls
under the mistletoe whilst singing auld lang syne.
So here we are. Two ordinary girls ready to shed the last stubborn 5,
10, 15, 20? Anahita's got a new gym class (check it out! Email her and
join! Or start your own!). My game plan? Stay in bed on my tea and
dry toast diet a bit longer…hmm. Not very long term I suppose…
